JB Taylor
Director of Music Ministry
J.B. joined Belle Meade as the Director of Music Ministry in February 2023. An Ohio native and lifelong Methodist, she has served as a church musician for nearly 35 years with experience as a pianist, organist, and choir director at churches in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, Minnesota, Kentucky, Georgia, and Virginia.
A composer and arranger with published choral and piano works, JB has released an album of her original piano compositions, and her debut book of piano arrangements was recently published by Lorenz. J.B. also has been a piano teacher for over 25 years, teaching hundreds of students in her home studios and at universities, national institutes, and a community music school.
J.B. holds a BA from West Virginia Wesleyan College as well as a master’s degree in piano pedagogy and performance and an MBA from Florida State University. She and her husband, Mark, enjoy exploring different restaurants and new areas of the country. They live with their only child, Charlie, an exceedingly enthusiastic and happy beagle.
