Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. The forty days represent the time Jesus spent in the wilderness enduring temptation and preparing to begin his ministry. In the early church, Lent was a time to prepare new converts for baptism. Today, Christians focus on their relationship with God, often choosing to give up something or to take something on. As a church, we will be using the theme “Journey to the Cross” throughout the Lenten season. Here are some ways for you to journey with us:

Additionally, members of our congregation wrote daily devotionals for the season of Lent! We will put these devotionals in the bulletins, or you can get a copy here.
