ROOM IN THE INN
Help is needed for our ROOM IN THE INN Winter Shelter program. Our church is responsible for 22 Saturday nights to transport, feed and provide shelter for 10 men, beginning November 3, 2018 and going through March 30, 2019. Many of you have volunteered in years past, but for those who haven’t, we need drivers, cooks and overnight hosts for each of these nights. It’s a great way to enjoy fellowship with one another and also extend love to those in need in our community.
The sign-up board for volunteers has been placed in the lobby of the educational building for all to see available openings (along with handouts detailing all responsibilities). Please discuss this with your groups and class members to form a list of volunteers. Individuals and families are also encouraged to participate in any part of the program.
We are also in need of new or gently used men’s casual clothing, sweatshirts, underwear, outerwear, shoes, boots and socks.
If you have questions, please contact:

We are honored to be a part of Room In the Inn and serve those in need through our church. Please pray for this ministry and most importantly, the homeless. It is our hope and our prayer that we can make a difference in someone’s life. Even if it is just for one night!
HG Hill Middle School - United4Hope
Fourteen church members recently completed Volunteer Training through United4Hope in preparation to serve as One-on-One tutors at HG Hill Middle School! Do you want to help, but can't make a long-term commitment? There are many ways to serve this fall that do not require any training OR a background check. We need volunteers willing to work occasionally as ticket takers/concession workers at after school events, to help with teacher appreciation projects, and to help prepare/serve food for parent-teacher conferences. To volunteer, please contact Melissa Vickroy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donations Needed: The following items are needed in all sizes to prepare the HG Hill Choir for performance season:
New/slightly used solid white shirts (both boys & girls)
Black pants for boys and girls
Black skirts (knee-length or longer)
Black dress shoes (flats for girls; loafer or lace-up for boys)
*Financial donations to the choir should be left with a church staff person
