Dr. Amy-Jill Levine presents Genesis as a living text, one that continues to shape faith, identity, and our understanding of what it means to be human. The study explores these key stories from Genesis: The Garden of Eden; Cain and Abel; Noah’s Ark; The Near Sacrifice of Isaac; Jacob’s Stairway to Heaven; Joseph’s Saga. Join with others for Bible study, enjoy the leadership of Kinny and Bill, and grow in fellowship with a group that studies, discusses, and prays together each week. So what can we learn about ourselves from a completely different context on the opposite side of the world? Come learn and reflect with Rachel Hagewood on her time in South Africa and explore the challenges such an experience provides to our ideas of religion, community, and pursuing justice and reconciliation in our own back yard.
