Worship Without Walls

Worship Without Walls is a church-wide event with service opportunities planned for ALL ages and ALL abilities that will take place on Sunday, April 7th between 8:30 - 12:00 pm. We will start with a brief commissioning service at 8:30 am and plan to serve following the worship service from 9:00 - 12:00 pm. Blanket Ministry

Teams will create tie-together blankets for Project Linus which provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Appropriate for elementary school and above; children welcome with adult supervision.

Cookie Bake & Donation Sorting

This team will bake and individually package cookies for the residents at Blakeford retirement community in Green Hills. They will also sort donations collected the day of the event for our ministry partners.

HG Hill Middle School Flower Bed Project

This team will clear out areas around a flagpole and plant seasonal plants for a beautification project.  Appropriate for older youth and adults.

HG Hill Middle School Letter Writing

This team will write letters of encouragement and support to the teachers at HG Hill Middle School.

HG Hill Middle School Gaga Ball Pit Project 

This team will help paint and put the finishing touches on a Gaga ball pit for the students at HG Hill Middle to enjoy.

Abe’s Garden Singing

This team will lead a group hymn sing for the residents in the memory care units. Appropriate for Youth 12+ and Adults (Facility requires proof of Vaccination)

Eco Friendly Trash Pickup Project

This family-friendly group will divide into smaller groups to pick up trash along Davidson and Post roads, HG Hill Middle School, and the former Hillwood High School campus and track. Appropriate for all ages; children welcome with adult supervision.

Nashville Diaper Connection

This team will be responsible for sorting bulk amounts of diapers and “wrapping” them in order to make counted and labeled packs ready for distribution at our HG Middle Summer Pantry project later this year. Appropriate for all ages; children welcome with adult supervision.

Cumberland River Compact Waterway Cleanup Project

This team will clean out/around a nearby stream in partnership with the Cumberland River Compact. Participants should expect to get muddy.  Appropriate for youth 12+ and adults.

Random Acts Of Kindness

This team will go out into the community and perform random acts of kindness as a display of God’s love and grace to others. Appropriate for all ages; children welcome with adult supervision.

Corner Coffee And Donuts

This team will hand out free coffee and donuts at the 4 way stop in front of our church. Appropriate for all ages; children welcome with adult supervision.

Harmony Service Group

This team will partner with residents at Harmony senior living to create blankets for Project Linus which provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Dream Streets

This team will head to Dream Street’s transitional housing project to help paint and make the environment more inviting.
