Steve received his BFA from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Graphic Design. In May of 2018, Steve graduated From Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Masters in Divinity centered on a concentration in both theological studies and the creation of art. Steve has been in youth ministry for over 25 years now serving in the Memphis area before moving to Nashville.
In his free-time, Steve loves spending time with his family, watching movies, creating art, and exploring God's beautiful creation. Steve loves working in various mediums including sculpture, pottery, drawing, painting, recycled materials, and photography. He has been a part of group shows at Vanderbilt University, Vanderbilt Divinity, Downtown Presbyterian Church, and the University of Memphis. In his work, Steve often explores the intersectionality of art, spirituality, embodiment, and being.
Steve is married to his beautiful bride, Amy Stone. Amy is a 6th grade math teacher at St. Paul Christian Academy. Steve also has a smart, creative, sporty daughter named Caroline who attends Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet School.
