SUNDAY mornings

Sunday School: 9:15-10:15 AM

We meet all together in the Youth Lounge for breakfast, an opening announcements and an activity, then we break into age-level groups (a Middle School group and a High School group) for discussion surrounding the sermon scripture text. The focus for this time is discipleship and delving deeper into what the sermon text means for our lives.

Confirmation: 9:15-10:15 AM

6th graders meet each week during the spring semester (along with adult mentors who commit to walk alongside confirmands during this journey) to prepare them to be baptized or to confirm their baptism and become full members of the church. They are taught beliefs of the Christian faith, beliefs of the United Methodist church, and what it means to be a Christian. The class concludes at the end of the school-year with a special service in Sunday morning worship with the entire church to celebrate them being confirmed.

SUnday nights:

Youth Choir: 5:15 - 6:00 PM

Youth choir is a unique musical, social, and spiritual experience. Choir meets in the Choir Room and is for any youth, regardless of musical ability. Youth Choir performs in our Sunday morning worship services occasionally and also on our Youth Choir Tour every summer (see below for more details).

Youth Fellowship: 6:00-7:30 PM

Following youth choir, we have Youth Fellowship. We eat dinner in the Fellowship Hall and have fun, interactive activities, which include games, fellowship, and a devotional time together. The focus for this time is community-building for our teens to grow closer to each other through fellowship.

Connect Groups: 6:15 - 7:00 PM

Following our all-church dinner (served from 5:00 pm until 6:15 pm in the Fellowship Hall), we gather in the Youth Lounge for our Connect Group. Connect Group is a space to connect with each other through exploring/developing our God-given talents and interests. Connect Groups include: art, cooking, yoga/basketball, photography...and more. This will be a great way to take a break from schoolwork and connect with peers and our talents!

Mission Trips

Each summer, our youth spend time sharing the love of God through serving others. Our past trips have involved building/repairing homes, teaching and playing with children, and working with orphanages. We travel both locally and internationally and have been to Mexico, Mississippi, Guatemala, Honduras, Tennessee, Texas, and Miami.

Youth Choir Tour

Our youth choir travels for one week every summer to share God’s love through the gift of music. We have visited retirement homes, organizations that serve adults with disabilities, children’s centers, and churches. Past tours have included trips to St. Louis, Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta, Asheville, and Savannah.
