As we move from our October theme of “Wisdom” and into our November theme of “Joy-Full”, a study based on the writings of Richard Rohr is particularly fitting. Rohr writes, “…there are at least two major tasks to human life. The first task is to build a strong “container” or identity; the second is to find the contents that the container was meant to hold.”Moving from the first half of life into the second half is not necessarily associated with reaching a certain age. Life experiences influence when that movement might take place. So no matter what age you are as an adult, this study can be applicable for you. In the 3 sessions for this study, we will examine our containers and our contents. While sessions will include the wisdom and direction of Father Rohr, we will not be doing a chapter-by-chapter reading of the book. Reading the book and/or using the journal is highly recommended, but not required to take part in the study. Through the sessions we will take time to grow our souls and share with one another what helps us experience the light of God.
